This technique consists in covering up an eye and wishes something in mind.  Let says: A person who is famous publish a book and appear on the book cover with “an EVIL EYE and wishes the people who see it to acquire the book.

An evil eye is not really about making sales in fact is about create some situation “evil situation” to influence the mass, let say the author of this book aims for everyone who read the book to become a drug addicted, then those with weak mind they will end up doing them.

So what’s in fact this author gain by doing it?

This is a very good question, the author of the book will move up to the next level on the “illuminate pyramid.”  Do not forget that illuminate is about get souls to the devil, it is a war between win souls to the Devil or lose it to God.

An evil eye was inspired on “pirate’s captain” who used an eye covered at all the time, some people suggested he had an eye blinded this is why he covered it.

The truth is he aims to curse all others sea captain and get more souls to the Sea Goddess to remain in power.

An Evil eye

In some forms, it is the belief that some people can bestow a curse on victims by the malevolent gaze of their magical eye. The most common form, however, attributes the cause to envy, with the envious person casting the evil eye doing so unintentionally. Also the effects on victims vary.

Some cultures report afflictions with bad luck; others believe the evil eye can cause disease, wasting away, and even death. In most cultures, the primary victims are thought to be babies and young children, because they are so often praised and commented upon by strangers or by childless women.

The late UC Berkeley professor of folklore Alan Dundes has explored the beliefs of many cultures and found a commonality — that the evil caused by the gaze is specifically connected to symptoms of drying, desiccation, withering, and dehydration, that its cure is related to moistness, and that the immunity from the evil eye that fish have in some cultures is related to the fact that they are always wet.

Evil Eye in the Bible

Now when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he did not resort to sorcery as at other times, but turned his face toward the desert. 2 When Balaam looked out and saw Israel encamped tribe by tribe, the Spirit of God came upon him 3 and he uttered his oracle:
